A student project exploring sustainable systems for electronic waste collection and recycling.
The project looked at the growing challenge of e-waste in urban environments and the lack of effective recycling infrastructures. Through field research and design exploration, we created a conceptual service and product system for collecting, sorting, and reusing discarded electronics.
The design aimed to bring awareness to the lifecycle of consumer electronics and highlight opportunities for extending product use through refurbishment. It also introduced touchpoints for consumers to responsibly dispose of devices while incentivizing participation through gamified rewards.
